At the forefront of the architecture, the landscaping design is here to create memorable environments to meet client’s expectations.
The concept design is a response to the Landscape, the topography and the architecture of the school. A creation of the concept is clearly defined by major spine of open space that is crossed through covered corridors.
Throughout the International l School of Choueifat, the architecture and the Esplanade area produce a cloistered feeling of quiet and calm within a large diversity of plantation surrounding the school.
The landscaping establishes the character and quality of future projects through a dynamic design that runs into the floor tiling and the curvilinear wall providing windows of light views.
On the left, the International School of Choueifat houses a Performance Hall, Classrooms, Playgrounds, a Soccer field, for students, who seek to research, study and explore the vastness of knowledge and the pleasure of activities. For that reason, a diversity of selective trees and shrubs goes along these facilities with a touch of transparency and contemporary behavior allowing an overview of the school, yet respecting the intimacy of each function.
On the other side lies the kindergarten with its interactive playground that aspires the elaboration of children’s physical, social cognitive development which should be nurtured throughout the childhood. The forms, the curves, the circles, the air the sand the sun, are major elements of this work-live-play-learn friendly environment.
The staff accommodation vicinity extends down into a large, cool blue water mirror surrounded by landscaped greenery. The representation of a “promenade terraces” that would serve as a pedestrian spine structuring a loosely planned extension, is highlighted by a dynamic play of natural lights and shadows throughout the pergolas, the water and the shaded sunken built-in sitting areas, providing social focus.
